With the end of the NBA season only a couple of months away, there is already a lot of NBA rumors going around. Some are even being played out in the media where certain teams and/or stars are getting involved in NBA rumors. So who is making the most believable NBA rumor? Let’s take a look at some of the top NBA rumors so far this NBA season:
Milwaukee Bucks forward Rashard Lewis has reportedly asked for a trade. The Bucks had been awful the past couple of weeks and Lewis is probably feeling the heat from fans wanting to see him go. He has missed seven of the last eight NBA starts due to a foot injury sustained during practice. Milwaukee Bucks’ coach Scott Skiles denied the news on Twitter, but several NBA experts believe that he will indeed be forced to play elsewhere this NBA season.
Houston Rockets guard Troy Murphy is out with an abdominal strain. He underwent surgery to repair a herniated disk earlier in the month and it appears as though this is the reason why he is out for the Rockets’ final regular season game against the Utah Jazz on Friday. Murphy has started just six NBA games due to various injuries in his past. Backup center DeJuan Blair is questionable with a shoulder problem and did not play against the Jazz. NBA experts say that the Rockets will lose both Murphy and Blair for the final game against the Jazz.
Cleveland Cavaliers forward Matt Bonner is out with a back injury. He underwent surgery to repair a herniated disk earlier in the month and it appears as though this is the reason why he is out for the final NBA game against the Boston Celtics on Friday. NBA experts say that Bonner will be out for the final few games of the season.
The Sacramento Kings released general manager Bob Thiesenman and assistant coach K.C. Johnson. Reports say that the two are on the way out of Sacramento once the team’s general manager decides to leave. Thiesenman was responsible for the major overhaul of the Kings last summer by dealing superstar DeMarcus Cousins and first-round draft pick Andre Liggins to the Denver Nuggets for nothing in return.
NBA analysts say that rookie forward Ben McLemore is headed for an injury. It is unknown when or where McLemore will suffer an injury, but he could be out for the season. Sources say that the Chicago Bulls could be without guard Greivitis (ankle) for the rest of the season, but there is no confirmation on that. Backup big man Tyshawne Davis was waived by the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.
NBA players take some time off after getting hurt, so this should not be too surprising. If you have read up about injuries in recent years, you know that big men usually miss extended time. Forward Luis Scola suffered a calf injury in November, but he expects to be back in the lineup before the end of the season.
NBA players take their health and bodies into their own hands. If they believe their teams are not doing as well as expected, they will have nothing less than revenge by playing down the rivals. Right now, it appears as though the Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls may be the frontrunners in what should be a very interesting battle for the second seed in the Eastern Conference. The Orlando Magic are in the middle of a loaded Eastern Conference with the Orlando Magic and the Detroit Pistons tied for second place. Stay tuned to get any NBA rumors out on the real news, updates, and analysis of the situation!
